FAQs
1. Who do you work with?
I work with adults with ADHD and parents navigating ADHD-related challenges with their children or teens.
Many of my clients are capable people who are putting in a lot of effort but keep running into the same frustrations. They may struggle with follow-through, emotional reactions, everyday responsibilities, or understanding why familiar strategies aren’t working.
For parents, that often means trying to understand their child’s behavior, reduce conflict, and build a more supportive home environment.
In both cases, we focus on understanding what’s behind the struggles and finding practical strategies that fit real life.
2. How can ADHD coaching help me as an adult?
ADHD coaching helps you understand the patterns behind challenges you may have struggled with for years. That might include getting started on tasks, following through, managing emotional reactions, keeping up with responsibilities, or feeling frustrated with yourself when things don’t go as planned.
We work together to understand what’s happening, identify your strengths, and develop practical strategies that fit how you operate. The goal is to make everyday life more manageable and help you feel more confident in how you approach challenges.
3. What if I’ve already tried planners, routines, and productivity strategies?
That’s a familiar experience for many adults with ADHD. You may know exactly what you’re supposed to do, yet struggle to do it consistently.
Rather than starting with another system, we look at why previous approaches haven’t worked for you. Once we understand the patterns underneath the struggle, we can develop strategies that fit your needs, strengths, and circumstances.
4. Do you work with parents of teens with ADHD and neurodivergence?
Yes. Most of my work is with parents navigating ADHD-related challenges in teens and young adults. When I use the word neurodivergent, I’m generally referring to ADHD-style patterns that affect attention, emotional regulation, motivation, and daily functioning in family life.
5. Can coaching help my child’s ADHD or fix their behavior?
6. Will my home actually feel different, or is this just insight and conversation?
Insight is only the starting point. The goal is real-life change with less tension, clearer communication, and fewer repeated cycles. We focus on what you can actually do differently so things feel more manageable over time.
7. Can coaching with challenges at work?
Yes. ADHD can affect how you manage priorities, initiate tasks, follow through, communicate, and respond to workplace demands.
Coaching gives you space to understand where you’re getting stuck and develop practical approaches that fit your role and working style. I also work with adults whose coaching is supported or sponsored by their employer
8. What happens in coaching sessions?
We start with what’s happening in your everyday life, whether that’s at work, at home, in relationships, or in parenting.
Together, we identify recurring patterns, explore what’s driving them, and develop practical strategies you can try between sessions.
Each session combines understanding with action, so you leave with greater clarity and a direction for moving forward.
9. What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
ADHD coaching is a collaborative, practical process focused on understanding current challenges, developing strategies, and making changes in everyday life.
Therapy can address mental health conditions, emotional distress, trauma, and other clinical concerns. Coaching and therapy can complement each other, depending on your needs.
10. How long does it take to see change?
Some clients experience relief early on as they begin to understand patterns they’ve struggled with for years. Developing new approaches and making them part of everyday life generally takes more time.
Progress depends on your goals, circumstances, and the changes you’re working toward. We’ll regularly look at what’s helping and adjust as needed.
